While we all know we are supposed to replace our toothbrush every three months, it can be pretty confusing trying to remember when we are supposed to replace our various makeup and skin care products.
Since spring is starting, I thought now would be a good time to replace of some beauty products that may have gone bad over the winter.
Here’s a quick guide to when its time to toss various things you have in your makeup bag:
Nail polish - one year
Deodorant – about two years
Foundation – six months (liquid) or two years (powder)
Lipstick and lip gloss – two years
Shampoo and Conditioner – three years
Mascara and liquid eyeliner – three months
Eye Shadow – six months (cream) or two years (powder)
Eye liner and lip liner (pencil) – two years
Body lotion – two to three years
Anti-aging cosmetics – six months
